The Delusional Outlet of Blogs
My favorite comic, Pearls Before Swine, turned its attention to blogs today.

I like the analogy.
That’s my new goal for this blog I think: It needs to be more fulfilling — both for me and the readers — than beating someone with a toilet seat. I hope I’m up to the challenge.

Great cartoon… and good-looking blog! I use blogs for marketing stuff, using canned and other PLR content. I’d love to blog from the heart, but so far I haven’t come up with a theme that I care about and think anyone else would also find interesting.
Nice to hear from you … yes, it can be hard to focus in and write regularly (as I seem to be proving on my woefully-neglected blog here).
By “from the heart” do you mean another blog, in addition to the marketing blogs you mention? Or is the problem writing content in order to sell products that you don’t particularly care about personally?
I have the second of those problems: I want to develop some money-making niche blogs, but can’t pull together any enthusiasm for writing on subjects like “registry editors” or “get your degree online” etc.
Time for me to get over that writer’s block though … the subjects I’m interested in (mystery novels, Judaism, Israel, and rock music, for instance) aren’t easy to monetize.
Surfed over here from SSWT.com. Like what I see. Not sure about the cartoon analogy though, though suppose it isn’t really that much different from using a 2X4 to get a donkeys attention.
If nothing elso you can always outsource the writing of the content. Prehaps you could sell books as an affiliate or maybe CD’s. Just some suggestions based on your posted interests. You would probably be surprised by what Lynn Terry sells, not that you should just plunge right on with a half a dozen offers but it is a rather varied mix of things. Best wishes in whatever you decide to do.
