I only had problems installing it because my version of WordPress was outdated - but I had someone upgrade WP and install the plugin for me, and its been great. I would HIGHLY recommend the plugin. There are stats with it, so I can see my "top subscribers" and the posts that get subscribed to the most, etc. Incredibly valuable - and my visitors are thrilled with the option! Fortunately it's nothing whatsoever to do with Christmas or holiday shopping, so I won't be kicking myself for leaving it too late. Don't know much about Cross Blog Conversations - I'll do some reading and find out more about it.
